How to color comics book in Photoshop - 2nd part

In this second part of the tutorial we will learn how to prepare and set the main background paintings in order to make the art board ready to get the color.

1-Flat color on alpha channels

Let's open our file previously created and create a new alpha channel. Rename it Flat 01 (or as you prefer a name that makes sense for you). Select your favorite selection tools (Lasso, polygonal Lasso tool or magnetic lasso Tool) and start to identify and isolate the main area of your draw. Set "anti-aliasing" option off.
Fill each channel with a different tone of gray to keep them separated. In my example I differentiated the main area of the costume, the live skin and the background keeping those areas in separated channels. If you want you can also use the Brush instead of Lasso tool painting directly on the channel. Actually you should have  something like mine with a Line Art channel, and more than one channel for the flat color.
